Slow-cooked Turkey ...
Brown turkey in pan or cast-iron pot (I used two large legs)... in a combination of olive oil & butter (half butter & half olive oil). Season with salt & pepper and chicken salt. Add 2 chopped onions and brown. Add fresh or dried herbs to your liking ... I added coriander and basil. Place in slow-cooker.
Use the same pot/pan as for the browning process and add:
half a cup of water (I used red wine)
2-3 tablespoons of pasta tamato sauce (or a large tamato)
Good sprinkle of Worcestershire sauce and half a cup of chicken stock
Heat and pour over turkey. Add 6 whole cloves.
Cook for 4-6 hrs on high or about 8-10 hrs on low.
