A True Hunter Kills with Understanding ... (1)

Today there are many rising arguments against all types of killing, especially hunting.  The media loves to show the negative side of 'hunters' and especially kids that dare to hunt.  Many religions and philosophies are 'anti-killing' orientated and those of you who know me, know that I have a tremendous amount of respect for Buddhist philosophy, which also condemns all kinds of killing ...

It is very common today to hear the following:  "I'm against all forms of hunting" or "How can you kill something that you've bred and cared for??"  The worst of all ... "I don't eat meat, I'm a vegetarian."

I quote this from the famous Internet.  The definition for Vegetarian: "Tribal slang for the village idiot who can't hunt, fish or ride."  I hope as you read further, you'll see that this is kinda true.

If you think that this is one of those pro-hunting attempts ... think again.  I'm a hunter, but of a different breed and I'm totally against the concept of hunting as we know it today ... are you thinking about it???  What about the killing factor, how can I justify that?  I don't have to, because killing of things is what the whole world is about ... now you're thinking???

If we want to understanding anything, we have to look at the big picture ... we can't look at one little thing or one aspect and come to a conclusion.  As 'modern' human beings, we have a problem ... because we have forgotten who we really are, what we're made off and where we come from.  It is nearly as if we believe we were dropped one day on earth and we were growing and breeding things (to eat of course).  This is not true, we have a incredibly long history as hunter-gatherers.  We have to understand where we come from .. to really understand what is running through our veins ...

Ten thousand years seems like a very long time, the start of the 'agricultural stage' ... when we actually started to forget who we really are.  It is a well known scientific fact that we share 99.9% of our genetic material with our hunter-gatherer ancestors.  Our true ancestors have a history dating back 1.8 million years!!  Work it out ... 10 000 years in comparison to 1 800 000 years - 0.5% ... a drop in the ocean, we've walked this earth as so called 'agriculturists' ... supposedly only growing vegetables, smelling flowers and talking to birds and bees.  Whether you like it or not ... you are more hunter-gatherer than goat herder, which by the way, they bred to eat ...

We must also take into account that very recent research indicates that ALL humans are related to the African Bushmen ... that's where we all came from.  The fiew remaining African Bushmen, possibly the most important people to all of us ... who survived all kinds of hell are treated in Southern Africa like vermin ... how can this be??  The Australian Aboriginal, very closely related to the African Bushmen in genes and time ... treated the same way ... why??  The South American Amazon Indians ... the same - all these last fighting hunter-gatherers are disappearing at an alarming rate, while we strive to live on carrot juice and lettuce ...??

It is simple ... we are deeply within ashamed of who we really are.  With the 'agricultural revolution' came religions of all kinds and we started to see ourselves as superior to everything out there, including anyone running around in the bush hunting and gathering.  We saw them as inferior to us.  Look at how these last remaining groups are being treated everywhere in the world ... as if they're nothing ... their hearts and souls, which is their land, their country ... ripped away from them ...

As a human today, you don't know it, because know one will tell you ... You're designed as a runner, as a 'machine' that can run down any antelope alive today.  You can sweat and cool down your body, like no other animal.  You can run it down under any conditions, you don't need big and smart weapons ... because you are designed to run it down until it collapses.  This is called persistence hunting ... , still practiced by some remaining hunter-gatherer societies.

During this long, long history of mankind, before the agricultural stage, there was no sign of a vegetarian ... the exact reason for the name hunter-gatherer.  Sooooo ... who are you, you looking at yourself in the mirror ... desperately trying to deny who you really are?  Yes, you who share 99.9% of your genetic material with your hunter-gatherer ancestors ... who's relatives are still trying to dig in and survive today.  Who are you really???  A time period of 1.8 million years against 10 000???  Are you looking at the big picture or just at the iPhone and lettuce stage??

Next time I'll cover the killing factor ...
